The Master of Science in Information Systems has a number of opportunities both inside and outside the department for students with an interest in supporting faculty research. The Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) positions are highly competitive and awarded annually to top graduate students already accepted into the program. GRAs are selected in the summer to serve in the fall semester and again in the fall, to serve in the spring semester.

Graduate Research Assistants in the MSIS program receive tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. MSIS students selected for these assistantships will work with graduate faculty in designing, conducting and reporting IS-related research. Assistantships are awarded for the fall and spring semesters each year. Only fully admitted MSIS students are eligible to apply. Students who receive GRA positions for one semester are not guaranteed GRA positions for the entire year.

To apply for a GRA position, complete the online application and then submit your completed application for the open GRA positions listed under the Graduate College. For full consideration for fall semester appointments, applications must be received by June 15. For full consideration for spring semester appointments, applications must be received by November 15. We do not offer summer GRA appointments.

For more information, contact the program Director - Dr. Amy Woszczynski or the program coordinator - Ms. Wanda Sexton in the College of Science and Mathematics at Kennesaw State University.
